Meditation is the practical application of stilling the mind in order to see clearly the thoughts, feelings and behaviour that drive our actions and produce the results we experience, which can be both positve or negative.
Meditation simply means to become 'familiar' with the workings of your own mind. Learning how to tame it, and train it so that you are in control rather than the conditioned paradigms at play.
The first step with meditation is to became aware of the incessant stream of thoughts that are present and learn how to turn this mental chatter down. We do this by developing stability of mind, thus strengthening the attention networks, which brings the scattered, distracted and reactive mind into balance.
Meditation, overtime, brings the mind into balance. A balanced mind is strong but flexible, more able to work with challenge and change. A mind out of balance is distracted and scattered, jumping about all over the place, dissipating and depleting energy levels, creating mindstates of worry and anxiety, leaving you feeling burnt out and stressed. This is the basis of dis-ease across all domains of human experience, psychological, physical and emotional.
Meditation is a powerful tool for self-discovery and inner growth. At its core, the practice simply means becoming familiar with the workings of your own mind.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone. I had done a course prior to this one but just could not engage with it or take it on board. This course has been life changing for me and I will continue to practice what I have been taught. This course has really worked for me – Thank you

To stop the white noise in my head has been tremendous and my awareness of my thought patterns that create the same old negative narrative has been liberating for me. I now know that I was just running the same old programme which produced the same old outcome. I now cut these thoughts off at their root. I feel so more in control of my life.

This has been an excellent course and I can see how I can use it in all aspects of my life. I am less reactive and more able to see different perspectives and make better choices. The Stop, Gap, Go practice has been hugely beneficial to ground and support me when I notice negative thoughts patterns returning. Thank you so much Geraldine.

Meditation is an ancient practice that has been used for millennia as a means to quiet the endless chatter of the mind and uncover the true nature of the self.
Mindfulness meditation is the practical application of stilling the mind in order to see clearly the thoughts, feelings, and behaviour that drive our actions, and produce the results we experience, which can be both positve or negative.
Meditation is working with our unconscious or sub-conscious mind so that we can begin to work with, and reprogramme automatic, and habitual pattens of thoughts, feelings, and behaviour that keep us stuck in a repetitive cycle producing the results experienced.
Meditation allows us to observe the mind's activities with a sense of distance and objectivity. Rather than immediately getting caught up in the stories, worries, and distractions that so readily consume our attention, we learn to abide as the silent witness - the awareness that underlies all of our subjective experiences. This shift in perspective can be tremendously liberating, offering us greater clarity, equanimity, and control over our inner lives.
Regularly practicing meditation can reduce stress, enhance focus and concentration, and foster a deeper sense of self-understanding and spiritual connection. Ultimately, it is a journey of unveiling the true nature of who and what we are, moving beyond the surface-level identifications of the ego to discover the boundless freedom of our essential being.
Meditation simply means to become ‘familiar’ with the workings of your own mind. It is a way to still the mental chatter and develop greater awareness of who and what you are.
I have really enjoyed the challenges each week has presented and I believe that the practice I have done has been hugely beneficial. I will miss these sessions – Thank you so much.
