In this fast-paced world, understanding how our mind works is not just valuable—it’s essential!
In a world driven by technology and busyness, the mind spins out into overdrive as a method to cope - it becomes distracted, scattered, anxious and lost.

therapeutic coaching |
This process is not just about addressing immediate concerns but also about equipping individuals with the tools, strategies and mindset needed to tackle future challenges confidently and effectively.
Our thoughts shape our reality, influencing our emotions, our decisions and our interactions with others. To navigate life effectively, we must delve into the intricacies of our mental processes. This journey of exploration helps us recognise patterns in our thinking, revealing how beliefs, biases, and past experiences inform our present behaviour. Training the mind through the practice of mindfulness and awareness is an essential part of this process.
MINdfulness |
Mindfulness is an innate faculty of the human mind that we all possess. Some people have a high level of mindfulness activity, and yet for others it remains dormant. However, all of us, adults and children, can learn how to cultivate and develop it so that and use it in our lives.
Mindfulness is the practice of training and taming the undisciplined, distracted, scattered mind so that we are in control of it, rather than it running the show! It is a method of bringing the mind into balance. Overtime, this leads to greater mental and emotional stability, cognitive flexibility, focussed intention and responsive action.
Meditation |
Meditation, develops stability of mind allowing you to observe your mind's activities with a sense of distance and objectivity, rather than you getting caught up in the stories, worries, and distractions that so readily consume your attention. When this happens you learn to abide as the silent witness - the awareness that underlies all of our subjective experiences.
Mindfulness for children |
Mindfulness can be taught at any age, the earlier the better. Equipping the child for all life transitions into adulthood. Developing resilience and emotional balance for life.
inclusivity |
In today’s fast-paced world, children are constantly exposed to a plethora of stimuli, leading to sensory overload and attention issues. This is difficult for all children but for children within the ASD spectrum this is exacerbated.
The constant bombardment of information and distractions from screens, social media, and the rapid pace of life can overwhelm developing brains making it extremely difficult to navigate the noise resulting in sensory overload which can manifest in various ways, including: stress, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, sleep issues and behavioural distress.
With a passion for inclusivity I went on to adapt the My Mind And Me programme for children with ASD. The programme was traialled within National Autistic Society schools, working with 7-to-17-year olds and produced very promissing results.
In addition, I went on to develop the programme further adapting it for adults with learning difficulties and trialling it within Salford NHS Learning Disability Trust.
